A piece of silk painting I did for a project on surface pattern. It was inspired by coral.

Box project.
This was part of a project where we were given a box to change in some sort of way with using only the box plus paints ect. I took inspiration from german expressionist film to do this.

I'm finally getting around to adding some of the things I have done at college from a while ago.
This is what I didn't when we were making repeating patterns. We had to draw something we could see, so I drew the design on my bag. We also had to draw something else, so I drew a rose.
I quite enjoyed doing this exercise and I did a few others, including this one.

I just did some quick and quite scrawly bats and swirls. It was kind of inspired by Edward Gorey.
You can't see that it's a repeating pattern hear as I haven't got around to duplicating it to show how it would look.
This is a physical photo manipulation I did at college around October or September I think. The theme was to add colour to a black and white photograph. I took the Photograph at Arnos Vale Cemetary in Bristol, then photocopied it in negative. I then used tea and water colour to add colour to the image. I also Added lace painted black in the corner and sponged black acrylic paint in the corners.
This is the original of the photograph that I took.
Another photo manipulation that I did by just using water colour on a black and white copy of the photograph I took.
Another Photo manipulation with using various shades of green to and inverted copy of the same photograph.

My original choice of object.
As I said previously, I had originally chosen a pepper pot, rather than a lightbulb. This is one of the pictures I drew while studying the pepper pot. It's the design that is around the top of the pepper pot.
This is a photograph of the actual pepper pot.
Also here from another angle.
Light bulb.
At the moment at college we are doing a project basically experimenting with drawing an object.
I originally chose a pepper pot, although I have now changed to a lightbulb.
This is a picture of the lightbulb using drawing ink.

More Lightbulbs.
As I said on a previous post, I am currently drawing light bulbs for college. This is one of the things I have done. It's a necklace design with either acrylic or shrink plastic light bulbs connected by a chain.
I'm not necessarily going to make this, but I might do, I haven't quite decided.
Soon we have to choose an idea to do more work on for our final piece.

Bristol Project. Ink drawing of an alley.
We were set a project based on the city of Bristol and this is one of the drawings I did in my research.
It's of an alley that caught my eye as I walked past. I took a photograph and drew it when I got home.I used a wide stick and india ink which had an interesting effect.
This is a textile sample I made for part of my photography unit on culture and identity.
It's of the logo for the Batcave club, which was a club a lot of my favourite bands were involved with or performed at in the 80s.
It was done using dissolvable film and thread.
